Davis Center turned… night club? Yeah, it happened. And yeah, it was kind of awesome.  Week of Welcome brought GrooveBoston to town, and with those guys in house, it’s impossible not  to have a good time. For those of you who couldn’t make it, contributor Chase Martin, of Dayzed Productions, gives you a taste of what you missed.

GrooveBoston was a great night! When the event was first described to me, I will admit, I was a bit skeptical of a party put on in the Davis Center. However, after looking at their previous shows, I was quickly turned around and excited for what could be one of the better parties put on by the University. The night did not disappoint, with the atrium packed with students, bumping bass, and raging lights, everyone was having a great time. GrooveBoston had two DJs switching back and forth all night playing all types of  music from hip-hop to heavy electronic dance music and the crowd was energetic throughout the night, with the last song playing well past midnight. Overall, I was blown away by UVM’s capacity to put on such an event and highly recommend checking out the next events, whenever they may be!
