Music Vermont


  On Sunday, August 18, 2103, the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival will be featuring the music of Beethoven, Shostakovich, Sarasate, and Brahms at 4:00 p.m. at the Woodstock Unitarian Universalist Church located at 7 Church Street in Woodstock, Vermont.  This will be presented by the Pentangle Council on the Arts as part of their summer series. Featured will be the music of Ludwig von Beethoven – Duet for Viola & Cello in E-flat, WoO 32 (“With two eyeglasses obbligato”); Dmitri Shostakovich – Five Pieces for Two Violins & Piano (1906-1975); Pablo de Sarasate – Navarra (danza espagnola), Op. 33 (1844-1908); Johannes Brahms – Trio for Horn, Violin & Piano, Op. 40.

Artists will include: Basia Danilow and Arturo Delmoni (violin); Arturo Delmoni (viola); Peter Sanders (cello); Ellen Dinwiddie Smith (horn); and Jung Lin (piano).
In its 21st year, the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival will be held August 15-25, 2013 in Randolph, Montpelier and Woodstock.  This festival brings world-class music to the heart of Vermont, under the direction of Artistic Director, Peter Sanders.  This festival has earned its reputation over the years as a major contributor to the summer music scene in Vermont and the Northeast. 
World-renowned performers will include: Cyrus Beroukhim (violin); Basia Danilow (violin); Arturo Delmoni (violin and viola); Adela Peña (violin); David Cerutti (viola); Peter Sanders (cello); Jung Lin (piano); Ellen Dinwiddie Smith (horn) and the Island Time Steel Band. 

The Founder and Artistic Director of the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival is cellist, Peter Sanders.  Mr. Sanders is a native New Yorker, a member of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music.
