The annual Breast Cancer Conference offers exhibits and education sessions for patients, survivors, and members of the medical community. This free community event offers over 70 different sessions and 50 different local exhibitors. Come for part or all of the day and help strengthen our breast cancer community. Join us in the beautifully renovated barn at a picturesque Champlain Valley dairy farm to mingle, enjoy a wood-fired pizza lunch featuring local, sustainably-produced food, visit with Center staff, and to learn from farmer Paul de la Bruere about what’s involved with a well-managed pasture.

Join members of your class to hike Mt. Philo or bike from the Burlington waterfront. For the hike, please RSVP to Marti Webster atmartiwebrn@comcast.net. In addition, meet at Mt. Philo State Park at 2:00 p.m. or in the Best Western Windjammer hotel lobby at 1:15 p.m., if you need a ride. For the bike ride, please RSVP to Sarah Dopp atsarah.dopp@vtmednet.org. Meet at 2:00 p.m. at Local Motion (1 Steele St Burlington) to rent your bike and meet up with the group. There is a minimal fee for these activities and you have to choose one.

Vermont Farm Tours: Wine Tour $

Fall is probably the most spectacular season to visit Vermont’s wineries: grapes are ripe and the winery is abuzz harvesting and pressing the bounty. We’ll visit two idyllic Vermont wineries, taste unique varietals, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes winery tour. We’ll also explore a couple pairings with local artisan cheeses.
