Do you like arts and crafts? Do you value resourcefulness? Then we may have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
Turn trash into treasure at Make Stuff! Nights at BRV, every Wednesday from 6PM to 9PM. Christine, our AmeriCorps worker at BRV, teaches volunteers how to turn inner tubes into earrings, spokes into bracelets, tires into belts, and how to upcycle other defunct bike parts into art and jewelry. The products that volunteers make are sold at stores downtown and at Burlington City Arts Summer Artists’ Market to raise money and awareness for Bike Recycle Vermont. Check out our photo gallery to see the amazing items volunteers have created out of bike parts.
If you’re interested in making stuff, simply show up to Make Stuff! Nights at BRV, 664 Riverside Avenue in Burlington. Can’t make Wednesday nights but still interested in volunteering? Contact Hannah at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call her at the shop at (802) 264-9687 for more information about how to get involved.
