On Friday, August 22nd, at 8:00 pm, North End Studios presents an evening of Irish entertainment featuring Brinytide and special guest, Dominique Dodge. North End Studio A is located at 294 North Winooski Avenue in Burlington. Tickets will be $10 at the door.
Born into an English family with deep roots in folk music, fiddle player Roger Burridge ventured over to Ireland in his late teens. That experience ignited a lifelong passion for playing traditional Irish dance music. Burridge has recorded and played alongside some of the very best Irish and English musicians. Now living in New Hampshire, Roger is joined by piper Anthony Santoro to produce rich, energetic, raw, foot-stomping music. Infatuated with the Irish píobaí uilleann from an early age, Santoro has toured Ireland, New England, New York, and lived and performed in Las Vegas. The duo has now performed together for over a decade.
Dominique Dodge is a harper and singer from northern New Hampshire. In 2005, she earned a BA First Class Honors Degree in Scottish Music from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD), in Glasgow, Scotland. Dominique has performed at Denmark’s Tønder Festival, the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, the Edinburgh Harp Festival, and the Edinburgh Fiddle Festival as well as for HRH the Prince of Wales and at the opening of the Scottish Parliament Building. In the US, she has been the featured harper at the NH Highland Games and at the New World Festival in Vermont.
