Ballet Hispánico

Performers performing ballet

For more than 45 years, Ballet Hispánico has been a gem of the New York dance scene, bringing communities together to explore Latino cultures through dance. Known for their technically accomplished and musical dance, the company presents a bold repertory of all-Latina choreographers: Michelle Manzanales’s Con Brazos Abiertos, an exploration of iconic Mexican symbols; Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Línea Recta, a work pairing the passion of flamenco dance with inventive and intricate partnering; and Catorce Dieciséis, by Tania Pérez-Salas, one of Mexico’s most celebrated contemporary choreographers.

Presented in association with the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity, and Multicultural Affairs through the UVM President’s Initiative for Diversity.
