BCA’s Summer Concert Series: Jenni Johnson

The BCA Summer Concert Series is an annual celebration of Vermont’s incredible roster of local talent. Every Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer, the Summer Concert Series provides a lunchtime concert in City Hall Park, energizing the downtown district with vibrancy while supporting local musicians.

Jenni Johnson has been described as “a renaissance woman” in the many articles written about her in the Burlington Free Press, Seven Days, Vermont Woman the Rutland Herald, as well as for newspapers across the lake in New York State. Born in NYCs Harlem Hospital and raised in the Big Apple, she now resides in Burlington, VT.

Jenni has become a regular presence around the State of Vermont. Her full, smooth voice offers an ideal format for the collection of American jazz classics, as well as, blues, swing and funk music. You will be mesmerized by her unique style and versatile renditions. She’ll have you smiling from your soul, while your feet dance happily to the beat.

The Summer Concert Series is presented by VSECU with support from The WaterWheel Foundation.

Since 2012, audiences have enjoyed these intimate, free performances, and musicians love connecting directly with local audiences to expand their fanbases. In 2020, to support musicians during the pandemic, they launched a Summer Concert Video Series, producing high-quality videos for each performer. A collaboration with the City’s office of Racial Equity, Inclusion and Belonging helped pull this off.

2021 City Hall Park programming is presented by Pomerleau Real Estate.
