BCA’s Summer Concert Series: Moose Crossing

The BCA Summer Concert Series is an annual celebration of Vermont’s incredible roster of local talent. Every Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer, the Summer Concert Series provides a lunchtime concert in City Hall Park, energizing the downtown district with vibrancy while supporting local musicians.

Zak Hampton brings together a talented group of musical friends from across the Northeast region to bring high energy jazz fused with popular music for every occasion. Performing youthful takes on classics from Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra, to Miles Davis and John Coltrane, MOOSE CROSSING is the go-to group for the jazz connoisseur. In addition the group performs original jazz and funk music along with more contemporary takes on tunes from The Doors, Bruno Mars, and The Beatles. MOOSE CROSSING was established in 2011 and is based out of Poultney Vermont.

The Summer Concert Series is presented by VSECU with support from The WaterWheel Foundation.

Since 2012, audiences have enjoyed these intimate, free performances, and musicians love connecting directly with local audiences to expand their fanbases. In 2020, to support musicians during the pandemic, they launched a Summer Concert Video Series, producing high-quality videos for each performer. A collaboration with the City’s office of Racial Equity, Inclusion and Belonging helped pull this off.

2021 City Hall Park programming is presented by Pomerleau Real Estate.
