Building Love and Healing Community Workshop with Reverend angel williams
Join in a workshop on Building Love and Healing Community with Rev. angel williams on Friday, April 12th from 5 to 7:30PM at the Mosaic Center for Students of Color in Living and Learning.
Called “the most intriguing African-American Buddhist” by Library Journal, angel Kyodo williams is an author, activist, master trainer and founder of Transformative Change. Her newest work, Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love & Liberation, is igniting communities to have the long overdue conversations necessary to become more awake and aware of what hinders liberation of self and society. angel notes, “Love and Justice are not two. Without inner change, there can be no outer change. Without collective change, no change matters.” She was made for these times.
UVM has the great honor of hosting Rev. angel for a three-day multi-faceted visit. Rev. angel brings a unique perspective, combining contemplative practices and personal transformation with social justice activism.
During her stay, students, staff/faculty, and community members will have the opportunity to engage with Rev. angel across a wide range of topics, all leading back to her core teachings on love, justice, transformative change and collective liberation.
