Climb Nights at Petra Cliffs (BIPOC Affinity)
Take a break from campus life and climb at a local indoor rock gym! Every Thursday night throughout the spring semester, Outdoor Programs student leaders will take a small group of students down to Petra Cliffs for a couple hours of climbing. No previous experience is required. This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill. Shoes and harnesses (all your gear) is provided – Petra will even teach you how to belay! If you have your own gear please feel free to bring it. Attendees will be meeting at 7:30pm sharp at the UVM Outing Club House to head to Petra Cliffs together! Trips will be back around 10:00pm.
Please Note: This session (and the last Thursday of every month) are intended for BIPOC (black, Indigenous and people of color) students.
Sign ups are required to attend. Each week sign ups will go live on Monday for that week’s Tuesday climbing trip. We ask that you only sign up once to give as many people as possible the opportunity to climb. You can sign up by claiming at ticket at tickets.uvm.edu. Tickets will be released weekly on Monday.
Because of the small number of people each trip can host – if you need to cancel or trade your ticket with a friend, please let Outdoor Programs know ASAP, so that they can ensure another student has an opportunity to join. Failure to do this prevents your peers from experiencing this opportunity.
