Get Yourself Tested (GYT)
Get Yourself Tested (GYT) is a national movement to encourage young people to get tested and treated, as needed, for STIs (sexually transmitted infections) and HIV. Student Health Services will be collecting urine samples for confidential chlamydia and gonorrhea testing. Your insurance will be billed. Vermont Cares will be providing free and anonymous rapid HIV tests on site. Sexually active young people account for 10 million new STIs occurring in the U.S. each year, and most don’t know they are infected. Clinicians and sexuality educators will be available to answer your questions about STIs, treatment, prevention, and all things sex.
*Note: For best results, do not pee within 1 hour of taking the urine test, and tests do not reflect any transmission within the last 2 weeks.
