Ruckus is an incredibly dynamic, fun, and mind-blowingly brilliant early music ensemble.  Comprised of some of North America’s leading soloists of baroque performance, backed by a core of continuo masters on guitars, keyboards, cello, bassoon and bass, a Ruckus concert is a dazzlingly visceral and playful romp through this always-surprising and delightful repertoire.

Emi Ferguson is the principal flutist of the Handel and Haydn Society and is a passionate chamber musician of works old and new. Currently on the faculty of the Juilliard School, she is proud to be named a 2023 Avery Fisher Career Grant Awardee. She has performed at the festivals at Marlboro, Lucerne, Ojai, Bach virtuosi, and our own LCCMF. Emi was featured alongside Yo-Yo Ma, Paul Simon, and James Taylor at the 10th Anniversary Memorial of 9/11, where her exquisite performance of “Amazing Grace” was televised worldwide and became a viral sensation.
