Come meet Master Blue Siytangco!

With almost 40 years of experience in various martial arts systems, Master Blue Siytangco is focused on teaching Chen Style Taiji Kungfu and its benefits to students of all ages and abilities.

“When I was a young child I have been both the victim and witness to bullying and abuse by stronger aggressors. In many instances, I wasn’t old enough, strong enough, or capable enough to defend myself or others from their trauma. Though I didn’t know it at the time, this is what propelled me into the martial arts and began a 30+ year journey into learning about self-defense, healing, and growth through Kungfu. Throughout the years I have learned that I cannot save everyone from their life circumstances, but I can empower those who are my students to realize that they can become strong enough and capable enough to walk this world in confidence and without fear.”

Master Blue has accumulated many accolades in the martial arts, but he is most proud of those garnered by his students. They have brought home numerous medals from national tournaments throughout the U.S. including seven Grand Champion Titles.

A 12th Generation Lineage Holder for Chen Style Taijiquan and a 20th Generation Honorary Family Member of the Chen clan, Master Blue Siytangco has been teaching martial arts for over 20 years and has trained for over 40 years. He earned his title under the auspices of his teacher, 19th Generation Master Cheng Jincai, but also has the distinct honor to claim 19th Generation Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei, and 20th Generation Masters Chen Huixian, and Chen Bing among his teachers.

In 2005 Master Blue Siytangco founded the American Chen Style Taijiquan Association (ACMAA), an organization that is intended to preserve the martial culture of Chen Style Taijiquan along with its health and wellness benefits. In 2014 the ACMAA evolved into to the Blue Siytangco Taiji Kungfu Academy where we educate students in the full Chen curriculum including jibengong (foundational methods), taolu (traditional barehand and weapons forms), tuishou (push hands), qinna (controlling techniques), and sanda (free fighting). We also recently revived weapons-based self defense and combat sports as they relate to traditional kungfu as well as Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA).
