Yoga for POC
Yoga begins to integrate mind, body and heart. This is an ancient practice dating back thousands of years originating in India. The practice of moving toward optimal alignment leads us into a space in which we are able to better understand ourselves, our minds, and to see patterns we unknowingly repeat. We seek to find center so that we can become a fuller and more aware version of ourselves and be of service to creating a better community and world around us. We will practice pranayama, breathing practices, that will energize and soothe our nervous systems. We will practice asana, postures, which support the physical body to be in optimal alignment. Throughout each class a variety of options and modifications will be offered. What to wear: clothes that you feel comfortable in and that give you range of motion. No prior experience needed. No flexibility required. Free and open to POC students, staff, and faculty. No registration required. Just drop-in!
