Individual Costume Ideas
If you are more the type to either show up your friends or stand out from the crowd, then these are the costumes for you.
Lumberjack – Okay so it’s fall. In Vermont. You get the picture if you are gonna wear a flannel anyway might as well go all out and just finish it with some Timberlands, a Carhartt beanie, and a fake axe (we all know a real axe would be a bad idea).
Hippie – Your feeling groovy I’m feelin’ groovy so put on your circle sunglasses and embrace the inner groove.
Yerba Mate – mmmmmm yerba the life blood of campus, find your ambassador friend and convince them to give you their left over boxes for this one.
Moose – Mini rant time, I have been on campus for 3 years and have never seen a moose, excuse me that’s not okay. Anyway if you don’t have antlers you can always hold your hands against your head. I’d be convinced.
Bedsheet Costume (Toga or Ghost, your choice) – Everybody has a bed sheet so you have two options my advise is as follows, if you feel alive I would suggest the toga finish it with some Birkenstocks. If you aren’t then proceed to put the entire sheet over your body and finish with either cutout holes, marker, or less permanently a pair of sunglasses.
Group Costume Ideas
Are you apart of the herd and want a quality costume for you and the squad? This is our list for you.
Farmers Market Produce – The Burlington farmers market is one of the main weekly event here in Burlington, show your love for the freshness by convincing some friends to go as produce. Suggestions : Asparagus, Brussel Sprouts, Pumpkin, and Apple.
Ghost Busters – Is there something strange in the neighborhood? Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! This all khaki outfit can be easily recreated with a belt, your lab goggles, and your boots of choice. You might even collect a ghost around campus!
Men (and Women) in Black – Fighting aliens to save the world.. Why yes that seems like fun. Just throw on a pair of shades to serve some looks.
Power Puff Girls – Sugar, spice, and everything nice! This trio costume is great if you want to relive your childhood as your favorite crime fighting cartoon characters.
Phineas and Ferb – There is one day a year when you get to dress in a costume, and this is the best way to do it! So the annual problem of our generation is finding a good way to spend it….. Like maybe…!
Squid Games – There are just so many costumes going around the internet so it’s hard not to be inspired. Are you going to be a game participant, a guard, or maybe a vip?
The Office – Did someone drop their chili? Welcome to the office where the characters are endless. Maybe you can even dress up as Jim or Pam?! (If one of your friends want to be the worlds tallest filing cabinet, then bonus points for that)
