2023 UVM Chess Open

The UVM Chess Club is hosting their annual fundraiser tournament on February 11th and 12th with $500 in prizes! The time control is G/60 (each side begins with 60 minutes on their clock). There will be four rounds, two each day. It is not necessary to play all four rounds, unless you are competing for the prizes.

It will be a United States Chess Federation (USCF) rated event, so a USCF membership is required ($27/year). There will be an entry fee of $25 for the U1300 section (recommended if you’ve never played a tournament before) and $40 for the Open section. The event will be held in Old Mill #325
