Are you interested in early American literature and American book culture? Join Silver Special Collections and the UVM English department on April 17 at 4 p.m. in the Marsh Room, Billings Library for a lecture on the work of writer, actress, and educator, Susanna Rowson (1762-1824).

Two Rowson scholars, Desiree Henderson from the University of Texas at Arlington and Betsy Klima from the University of Massachusetts at Boston, will chat with English faculty about the importance of Rowson’s work to American book culture.

This lecture is the first of the Lisman lecture series, a series dedicated to early American literature and funded by Bruce Lisman ‘69. This event is free and open to the public. Bring your questions for the discussion.
