Consentric Circles Virtual Info Session

Join the Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Coordinator and guests from Healing Courage to talk about bringing the Consentric Circles program to UVM. Intimate violence is a community, not an individual, issue, and the impacts of which are far reaching. In this discussion, we’ll be addressing sexual assault and intimate harm in the context of community: the reality of myths and the criminal legal system for survivors of sexual violence and intimate harm and the challenges that system presents, along with exploring alternative approaches.

We’ll dive into the work of Healing Courage (HC) and how we reimagine justice and envision solutions in centering survivor wisdom and learning through our Consentric Circles framework. We believe that we learn in community and heal in the presence of others, because interpersonal violence requires interpersonal solutions.
