Ferment Fest

Join Pitchfork Pickle for a celebration of many fermented foods and drinks in our lives and some of the many local producers who make them on March 23th from 11am-3pm at the Soda Plant! This event is FREE, but vendors will be selling their products!

Vendors will be stationed throughout the hallway and businesses of The Soda Plant (a small business base camp at 266 Pine Street). Each vendor will highlight a specific type of fermented food or beverage — coffee, wine, beer, cider, yogurt, sauerkraut, cheese, bread, kimchi, mead, chocolate, ginger beer, and kombucha! Mingle, ask the fabulous fermenters questions, sample their products, and buy some to take home with you.

In the order of events, there is also line-up of 15-20 minute talks from most of the vendors about their specific fermentation processes, music, and a starter swap — bring and exchange your own sourdough starters, kombucha scobys, vinegar mothers, water kefir grains, etc. and make friends with other ferment enthusiasts in the community.
