The Kintsugi Bowl Experience

This full day workshop is inspired by the teachings of Kintsugi, the Japanese philosophy which states that “the value of an object is not in its beauty, but in its imperfections.” The bowl represents the self and perhaps even society being transformed into something new. We honor our uniqueness, our beauty, our story. Participants will engage in an intermodal process that blends ritual, writing, and visual art. The process of bonding, breaking, painting, repairing, and sharing will be held in compassionate confidentiality. No experience required.

WHEN: Sunday, October 20th from 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM ET

WHERE: At the Expressive Arts Burlington Studio & online via Zoom.

COST: $135 per person in studio; $150 per person online (includes cost of shipping bowl and glue)
