UVM Costa Rica Semester Abroad Info-Sessions and Interviews

Interested in studying sustainable development, biodiversity, and real-world challenges, all while living in a neo-tropical environment and earning 18 UVM credits? Join UVM’s Costa Rica Semester Abroad Program: Prosperity and Biodiversity in the Tropics: Challenges of Sustainability. Now interviewing for Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Fall 2025.

The Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources’ semester study abroad experience in Costa Rica integrates academic content across the biological and social sciences with the real-world challenges and opportunities faced by a rapidly developing Latin American country with unparalleled biodiversity.

As part of an integrative capstone experience, students engage in a service-learning component in which they apply the knowledge they’ve gained to a community-identified sustainable development project on the Osa Peninsula.
