Volunteer with Project Cure: UVM Alternative Spring Break

Alternative Spring Break is running three different service trips this year during our spring break. This year, break is March 9th-17th. Trips usually run Saturday-Saturday, with 4-5 days of service work and 1 day “off” to explore your surroundings as a group. Each group will stay in an AirBnB in the area, and grocery shop to cook your meals together during the week.

Project Cure’s goal is to deliver life saving medical equipment to under resourced countries. They are the largest distributor of donated medical relief. This trip will provide unique opportunities to see background in the medical field. Some work we may be doing is sorting, checking, cleaning, and packaging medical equipment and supplies.

When you apply for a trip, you will preference which one you are most interested in and whether you would like to go on another if you don’t get your first choice. We will reveal which trip you are on and who your groupmates will be later on. None of these trips require previous experience!

The final cost of this trip is going to be $450. Don’t let this be a prohibiting factor- we can chat about it if need be. But keep in mind, ALL food, housing, transportation for the week is included in the cost! We are asking for a $150 deposit to be paid before you leave for winter break in December. This deposit is part of the total cost, but non refundable to secure your spot on the trip, so you have between Thanksgiving and winter breaks to decide that you’re committed to going.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis
