Halloweekend 2018! Weeee! Smash those moldy pumpkins (responsibly), not your brain!
There are things for folks of all interests to take part in this Halloweekend. The UVM BORED Team put together a lil list for ya, highlighting some of the events they’re really looking forward to.
FRIDAY, October 26:
UPB Presents: Rocky Horror Picture Show
A classic and a goodie! Costumes encouraged! Props provided! Davis Center, 9pm, Friday night!
UVM SSC: DAWN OF THE SHRED
Join UVM SSC for their 10th annual Dawn of the Shred Rail Jam on Friday, October 26th. Teton Gravity Research will be there with their Stokemobile as well as a ton of other sponsors! Watch your fellow UVM shredders tear it up on some sweet park features set up by Sugarbush Resort’s park crew.
SATURDAY, October 27:
Candy Shoppe
ASU Dumpling Delivery
Asian Student Union (ASU) is having their annual Dumpling Delivery sale… and this year they are delivering to everywhere on campus! Anyone is welcome to sign up to cook and deliver dumplings to help fundraise for ASU while getting to know the everyone in the club!
Half Price Galactic Bowling
Galactic-style unlimited bowling! Half price this Saturday, if you arrive in full costume! Also half price arcade and laser tag! Located just 3 miles north of the UVM campus on I-89 (exit 16).
Sunday, October 28:
9th Annual Burlington Halloween Bike Ride
Join hundreds of riders for a rolling Halloween party! The Burlington Halloween Bike Ride features a 3 mile meandering ride through town, costume contest, and sweet end-of-ride party with free pizza, dance party and bike portraits! The event starts at City Hall Park at 1:30 PM, with the ride kicking off at 2 PM! There will be sweet prizes for: 1) best group, 2) most clever, 3) scariest, 4) best use of bicycle, and 5) best kids costume.
Wednesday, October 31:
Library Costume Contest
Come into the library on Halloween in costume to get your picture taken at circulation. The students with the best costumes will win prizes. There will be candy available for everyone!
UVM After Dark: Queen City Ghost Tour
Smugglers, tragic heroes, and pub spirits, oh my! Discover the ghostly inhabitants of downtown Burlington on Queen City Ghost Tours’ flagship Halloween tour! Spots are limited. Be sure to reserve your free ticket!
