Attention students! Looking for a way to get a quick boost of dopamine? Love shopping? Well, you’re in luck! Today’s blog is all about, drum-roll please………. STUDENT DISCOUNTS!!! Below, you’ll find four stores, all located on church street, that offer a 10% student discount (in-stores only)!! If you’re looking to use your student discount at any store, make sure you have your cat card on your phone or the actual card! And remember, other stores than the ones listed below may offer student discounts, so make sure you ask! Now onto the good stuff…
All stores listed below offer a 10% in-store student discount with a valid student I.D.
WHIM BOUTIQUE
Whim Boutique is the place to go if you’re looking for nicer items that you’re willing to splurge on. This is the place for you if you’re looking for a more professional and trending aesthetic style. Their clothing is more modern and sleek, with many closet staples and basics. They have everything from jackets to sunglasses and socks. As fall weather approaches fast, Whim is the place to look for cozy yet sleek outfits. Their prices range from $30 to over $100. Don’t let their prices scare you away. If you’re looking to splurge on an item, this is the place to look!
Melissa Desautels founded Whim Boutique after she headed to Vermont from the big apple (NYC, of course). Their only location is on church street, but they relaunched their online site in 2018. Be warned; the student discount only applies to in-store purchases.

ATHLETA
Athleta is my favorite place to look for workout clothes and loungewear. The quality of their products is similar to Lululemon or other performance apparel shops. They also have an excellent rewards program where you get 1 point for every dollar spent. If you get 100 points (a lot easier than it sounds), you get a $1 reward redeemable in-store with no merchandise restriction! They have everything from sports bras to yoga pants and dresses. Their prices range from $40 to over $100.
Athleta has storefronts nationwide and an extensive online catalog. They are also a certified B corporation (#awesome)! “B-Corp certified” is a term used for many for-profit corporations that voluntarily meet a higher standard of transparency and accountability in their social and environmental impacts.

TRADEWINDS
Ahh, yes, the best part of this blog and the most crucial information for all jewelry lovers, TRADEWINDS! Easily my favorite store on Church Street, Tradewinds is my go-to place for jewelry shopping. They have jewelry ranging from nose rings to big-ole rings and earrings. They also have decor, including tapestries, incense, and much more. Their prices are great for the college student budget, ranging from $15 to $150. I love looking at their ring sales, which they always have an abundance of.
Tradewinds offers “beauty from around the world.” Featuring a variety of styles, they are the perfect small business to support while on a college budget.

DANFORM SHOES
Danform shoes is a super #cool place to look for winter shoes, considering the season is right around the corner! They have all types of footwear, from Tevas to Xtratuf rain boots. Their prices range from $40 to over $150, but they have an extensive sale selection, including shoes from previous seasons. If you’re already looking for a pair of sandals for next summer, head to Danform for a bunch of summer shoes now on sale!
Danform Shoes has been family owned since 1978 (before some of us were born, woah) and has locations throughout Vermont. They also have an online informational blog (linked here) that explains all things foot health, like choosing the right pair of hiking shoes and info on plantar fasciitis!
