UVM Program Board: Fright Week
We are starting to get chills, here on UPB, and not only because the weather is cooling down.We are getting chills, because UVM’s Fright Week is sneaking up on us faster than we can finish our pumpkin spice lattes. Fright week is chalked full of spooky Halloween events with everything from Pumpkin Painting to Candy Shoppe.
Crafts & Snacks: Pumpkin Painting
Monday, October 26 | 7PM | Grand Maple Ballroom
Nothing says Halloween like pumpkin painting, Hocus Pocus and the Delicious Halloween-themed snacks. Join us at Crafts and Snacks paint, snack and enjoy watching the mischievous Sanderson Sisters.
Tuesday, October 27 | 7PM | Davis Center Atrium
Need a Halloween costume or want to get rid of an old one? UPB and VSTEP are collecting gently used costumes and clothing in the Student Life Office, and then opening up shop in the Davis Center Atrium on October 27th. Stop by to browse the racks and create a last minute Halloween look.
Murder Mystery: Death on the Dance Floor

There’s been a murder at Catamount High, and we need your help to crack the case. Put on you best (or tackiest) attire and join UPB for a 1950s prom-themed Murder Mystery Dinner! This event is free, but space is limited. Sign up ahead of time in the Student Life Office.

You won’t want to miss this Halloween time viewing of a 1970s Cult Classic “Rocky Horror Picture Show”. This interactive movie demands your involvement – first 50 people will get prop bags for free! We’ll have tons of candy too!
Candy Shoppe
Friday, October 30 | 8PM | Davis Center Atrium
Shuffle on down to the Davis Center for a wild night at the Candy Shoppe! We’ll have a Dead on the Lawn concert, pumpkin carving, a bunch of spooky activities, a haunted hallway, and more candy than you’ll know what to do with. Festivities start at 8PM and prizes will be awarded to the best costumes we see!

9:30PM-11:30PM | Showing Halloween Town In Brennan’s
11:30PM-12:30AM | Midnight Breakfast in Market Place
Dress Up, dress down and spend Halloween with UPB. Sweet treats, popcorn and a journey down Halloween memory lane, with a viewing of the classic film Halloweentown. Movie screening begins at 9:30PM in Brennan’s followed by a FREE midnight breakfast, served in the Market Place.
We like to think Fright Week is the best thing since Pumpkin Spice, Trick or Treating and dare I say it, Halloweentown itself. So, don’t be a scaredy cat and we will see you at our events. We know this all seems too good to be true, but it’s not a trick and we think your presence would be a treat!
