Igloofest in Montreal

Igloofest is an OUTDOOR-WINTER-ELECTRONIC MUSIC-FESTIVAL that happens every year in the Old Port of Montreal. Tens of thousands of people gather to attend one of the four weekends (Jan-Feb) to jam to electronic beats by international artists. Each night starts at 7:00pm and goes until around 1:00am, but luckily that’s just when things start to pick up in Montreal…

Here are some tips from a first-timer…

1.) LAYER up! Montreal’s sub-zero temperature can be intimidating but after 15 minutes of groovin’ and shakin’ you may want to shed some layers.

2.) Wear BOOTS that can withstand some mud. Although most of the ground is frozen, there seem to be quite a few mud puddles.

3.) Bring CASH (for poutine and a jazzy Igloofest hats (only $15)). The vendors selling food, drinks and clothes only accept cash.

4.) If you have a ONSIE bring it!
